Unicentro Armenia shopping center was jointly built by Pedro Gómez & Cía. and the Construction and Trading Company CAMU S.A.S., in order to offer a place for shopping, entertainment and recreation. To this day, the Unicentro shopping center is positioned as the most visited shopping center of the city for its attractions and benefits, with an average of 14 000 visitors daily.
It is the only eco-friendly shopping center in the department of Quindío as it has bioclimatic air conditioning systems, water recirculation in its fountains and two large vertical gardens that make Unicentro an innovative shopping mall. It has an average of 40 000 m2 built, 2 basement levels with 420 parking lots, easy pedestrian and vehicular access for its strategic location in the main street of the city of Armenia, with pedestrian access on the 14th street and vehicular access on the 4thB street. The mall also has 3 levels with 105 stores, which include the Éxito hypermarket, 6 Cinemark movie theaters –including one Extreme Digital Cinema (XD Cinema)–, a Game Box amusement park, a La Riviera store, 12 food places, women’s, men’s and children’s clothing stores, accessories stores, shoe stores, two drugstores, a travel agency, a tailoring and garment adjustment store, technology stores and a casino of the Ventura casinos chain.
